South Nanaimo, BC Real Estate

One of Nanaimo's largest areas and therefore more active Real Estate areas. The majority of South Nanaimo was built in the 60-80's and historically was called Five Acres as 5 acre parcels were provided to attract workers in the mining days. I believe only one of the 5 acre parcels remain. South Nanaimo has some of Nanaimo's more affordable housing and is on the edge of the downtown core. There are many Trails through Colliery Dam, Morell Sanctuary, public water park by John Barsby School. Many families have called South Nanaimo home for decades and have no reason to move anywhere else.
