Nanaimo Real Estate market for 2017
The real estate market in Nanaimo continues to be very active. Looking at the year-to-date sales for single family homes as at January 31, 2018 as compared to January 31 2017, there was a small decrease of 3% fewer homes sold but an increase of 15% in the average sale price .
The average sale price for a single family home at the end of January 31, 2018 was $518,896 compared to $451,869 at the end of January 31, 2017 . Active listings are up by 9% year-to-date and the number of days to sale is taking 16% fewer which indicates that Nanaimo is continuing to experience a seller’s market.
